the problem with the youth

an old man, one of the founders of the blackstone group (quite rich investment people), related this joke on charlie rose (who may be my favorite person on television).

did you hear about the teacher who asked his students: "what is the problem with young people nowadays? are they ignorant or apathetic?" a young man raised his hand and answered. "i don't know and i don't care."

I have been reading my very first Tom Wolfe novel ever- "I am Charlotte Simmons" and it basically deals with the problem of the late Gen X-ers Early Gen Y-ers, that is kind of what we are- a great yet tragic sort of study, however I think the critics didn't like it much... should ask Dominic.
