the grinder happened. i obsessed for the last couple of days, realized that i had a $50 starbucks card from christmas, headed down to ghiradelli square, avoided many toursists, parked in front of a t-shirt stand (only $1.99 for a I heart SF tee) and purchased a $199.95 burr grinder. it is the solis from baratza. tell me if this is backwards. i grind my coffee in a two hundred dollar machine and then brew it in a $15 stovetop bialetti. now i think i must go out and purchase a $1000+ espresso machine.
in my defense i was at a loss for what to do with my starbucks gift card. i don't drink their coffee and i don't like supporting them, so i figured that i might as well use it for the grinder. of course there was a $50 burr grinder. (see post below)
