i did a presentation on whale sharks in 2nd grade. i remember learning that they would let divers hang on as they roamed the ocean. i still dream that i will be able to dive with a whale shark. i i i.
the georgia aquarium in atlanta is home to 4 whale sharks (used to be 6 but ralph and norton died). the whale shark is the largest fish in the world, they eat plankton and are supposedly very gentle.

it is amazing that they can even live in captivity- where they born there or captured? I head recently that a shark in captivity gave a virgin birth. it's true.
