a 6 year old boy who seldom talked to humans had a special relationship with his african spotted tortoise, bob. unfortunately, someone stole his tortoise, tortured his tortoise and left the tortoise to die behind an apartment complex.
the police captured the villian, 18 year old Tony Mosqueda, and rescued the tortoise. bob is now being treated at Turtle Dreams, a montecito "turtle hospital," and a full recovery is expected. The parents of the autistic child, Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan are "looking forward to their tortoise coming back to full health."
The story, here, is worth reading solely for the comments of the police officers.
